10 Days Through Morocco From Tangier Overview

As we venture into the scenic Rif Mountains, we make our way to Chefchaouen, a charming town known for its Spanish-style square and  arts scene. The tour continues to Meknes, with a visit to the ancient ruins of Volubilis, before heading to Fes for a guided tour of its medina, Jewish Quarter, and the famous Quaraouine mosque.

Next, we journey to the mesmerizing Merzouga Desert, where you can experience camel rides, 4×4 adventures, and spend the night in a desert camp. Along the way, we’ll visit the stunning Dades Gorges, Ait Benhaddou, and finally reach Marrakech, where a guided tour will uncover the city’s historical and cultural treasures.     10 Days Morocco Heritage Tour Itinerary

    Your 10 Days Through Morocco: Tangier to Marrakech  begins with a pick-up from Tangier’s ferry port or airport. We’ll tour the city’s highlights, including the historic Kasbah, the lively Medina, and scenic viewpoints overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. After a day of exploration, you’ll unwind in a comfortable hotel with dinner and breakfast provided. (B)

    we drive through the picturesque Rif Mountains, passing Tetouan before reaching Chefchaouen. Famous for its nickname “Blue Pearl of Morocco,” this charming town offers you the chance to wander through its stunning streets, visit local arts and crafts shops, and enjoy the serene atmosphere. (B)

    Leaving Chefchaouen, we travel towards Fes, making stops at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the imperial city of Meknes. In Meknes, you’ll explore historic landmarks such as Bab El Mansour and the granaries of Moulay Ismail. In the evening, we arrive in Fes, where you’ll check into a charming riad for the night. (B)

    Today, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. You’ll wander through the maze-like medina, For instance visit the historic Al-Qarawiyyin University, explore the lively tanneries, and stroll through the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, take in a panoramic view of the city before returning to your riad for the evening.(B)

    Leaving Fes, we journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou, famous for its cedar forests and Barbary macaques. After a lunch break in Midelt, we continue our 10 Days Through Morocco through the Ziz Valley, arriving in Merzouga by late afternoon. Here, you’ll begin a camel trek into the vast golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, reaching a desert camp where you’ll enjoy a traditional Berber dinner beneath the stars. (D.B)

    After experiencing the breathtaking desert sunrise, you’ll  on a day of exploration around Merzouga. Our 4×4 adventure takes you to a Gnawa village, where you’ll enjoy traditional music, meet local nomadic families, and visit the lively market in Rissani. In the evening, return to the desert camp for another night under the stars, with opportunities for sandboarding, stargazing, In addition listening to stories around the campfire. (D.B)

    We journey through Rissani and Erfoud, famous for their fossil workshops. Continuing along the palm-lined Ziz Valley, we arrive at the awe-inspiring Todra Gorge, a paradise for rock climbers and nature enthusiasts. After that, we head to Boumalne Dades. (D.B)

    On the eighth day of our 10 Days Through Morocco we drive through the scenic Dades Valley and the Rose Valley of Kalaat Mgouna, renowned for its annual rose festival. We continue on to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” where you can visit the local film studios. In addition our next stop is the iconic Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterward, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, heading towards Marrakech, where you’ll check into a hotel near the medina.(B)

    Discover the  city of Marrakech on a private guided tour. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Majorelle Garden, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, and Bahia Palace. After that, immerse yourself in the bustling souks, where local artisans showcase traditional Moroccan crafts.
